How to extract data from LTAK and LTAP tables to BW (delta).

Hello-

I need to extract the data from LTAK and LTAP tables.

 

1. Is there any standard datasource for them in BW to extract the data .

2. Should i create a view on top of these two tables (or) should i directly create the datasource on each

   of the table?

3. If i create the generic datasource on LTAK & LTAP , then what are the generic delta enabled fields in the LTAK and LTAP tables .

4. I want to integrate the header and item data in DSO, please suggest the delta fields that can fetch daily basis.

Hi,

 

It is a best practice to simplify your system landscape by defining pairs of ECC Source System and BW. In each system you should only use one client, so also in ECC. You should avoid really avoid multiple ECC clients against one BW system. One client should be leading for BW.

Can you please let me know how to find Configuration details for EHS Datasources. Is there any table available in ECC? I need to set up configuration for 0EH_EXEMPT_TEXT and 0EH_CDO_ATTR.

Hi Krishna,

 

I see you have copied 2 questions from this thread and added 2 more of your own. your. It is a good practice to keep one and the same discussions in the same thread instead of creating duplicate ones.

 

Having said that, let me add that I have not found any DataSource related to these tables in the SAP Help Documentation, therefore we can assume there is still no standard DataSource to extract data from those tables.

Hello, I have the same kind of requirement

I want to integrate header (LTAK) and item data LTAP in DSO level.

Please suggest right delta fields that can fetch daily basis (twice daily), to pull ALL changes made to the header and ALL Changes made to the Line items.

 

Can I use below fields?? do they always bring all of the changes?? Please suggest if there is any other solution! Thanks in advance!

 

LTAK: BDATU;  LTAP: QDATU

Hi,

 

if you  adding a new field/fields from data source maintenance screen (rsa6)

  1. deactivate datasource
  2. delete the setup table first
  3. if you are already extracting data from this datasource in production environment, then you need to clear the delta queue (RSA7).. before performing step2..just run the delta infopackage to empty the RSA7 queue.
  4. then unhide the newly added field from datasource, save it and activate datasource.
  5. replicate datasource to Bw and activate it
  6. run the delta infopackage to see data for newly added field.

note: if this is the first time extraction(in prodcution), then step3 is not required, after step5.. you need to fill the setup tables then run the full /init with data infopackage, then schedule v3 jobs every 5 mins /10 mins in ECC.. then run the delta infopackage.

Hierarchy Node values as columns

Hi Experts,

 

      I have a CRM Categorization Hierarchy when displayed in report it is displaying as

Level1

         Level2

                  Level3

                          Level4

in the report which the data is accurate.

Now the user has a peculiar requirement wherein he wants the data(text descriptions) to be displayed as

Level1  Level2  Level3  Level4  in side by side columns.

I had used the following data source: 0CRM_CATEGORIZATION_HIER

 

Has anyone came across such a requirement, Need Inputs from your end to overcome this issue.

ok, then you can fill setup tables first, run inti with data infopackage, now schedule V3 job in ecc, then run delta next day or after some time (depending on how entries get posted in ecc )

I see this is the 3rd discussion you created for the same topic within a 5-day period -- previous posts here and here. Please give the community some time to respond before flooding it with the same topic over and over again in duplicate threads.

 

Furthermore, it looks like your topic is more about reporting rather than extraction. I suggest you look for the community related to the reporting tool you're intending to use.

Generic Data source based on LQUA table not working

Hi All,

 

A generic datasource was created to pull the data from table LQUA table.

the generic Delta has the field BDATU (last movement)

and the Delta extraction is defined as AIE

delta conf.png

 

In the BW side, when the delta infopackage is running, after somedays, tha data does not match and I can imagine the delta is not working properly. sometimes the infopackage does not get all the records.

 

What is the right way to pull the data from this table?

should I select a diferent Field? should I change the delta process? or what do you think would be the solution?

Hi Wilson,

   I've the exact BI_CONT release and SP-level in my system with the exact issue. I assume an upgrade to latest SP level for the BI_CONT 757 should help. Would like to know if upgrading SP-LEVEL answered your question ?

Hi,

 

Stocks(available\pickup) of each storage type in LQUA keep on changing , you can not use last movement data as a delta filed to fetch data to BW.

Instead , have a look at below points.

 

  1. create a virtual provider based on DTP (direct access)
  2. transformations
  3. create direct data access dtp, as generic data source's are enabled with direct access by default (data source-->change mode-->extraction tab-->choose direct access as "allowed").
  4. no need to run infopackage/dtp.
  5. then create reports.
  6. you can always match BW data against ECC , all you need to do is refresh the report when there is a change in ECC .
