Re: Enhancing 0PM_C01 infocube.

Thank you Kaman for your quick response,

but there is something I didn’t understand… you said “While loading data to copied cube, you need to fill 0material…

But how can I fill up 0material from 0PM_C01 cube if this cube does not have this field?

Regards.

Re: Enhancing 0PM_C01 infocube.

Hi Jorge,

As pe you needs, how your going to fill material?

Are you trying to pull from source or filling thru any look up at info cube 0pm_c01 level?

if we need historic data at cube level then whole data deletion and reload is mandate.

Thanks

Re: Enhancing 0PM_C01 infocube.

Ok Kaman,

0material is included in the datasource, but it is not mapped. If I map it now, I will get data for the next delta but I was wondering if I could just complete the historical records with the new field…but you are right, it seems to be inevitable to reinit the cube.

Thank you for your help.

But, what about the historical data?? Can we think in a remodeling process that allow us to complete the old records with this new field without thinking of deleting all, neither doing a initialization?

A remodeling process is used when you need to fill a new field with a value/formula based on data that's already available in your InfoProvider. Since you don't have 0MATERIAL in it yet, I think it's safe to say remodeling is not an option for you.

That doesn't mean you need to delete all data if you're very careful. You could work with full repair loads (if you can assure you can easily identify all historic records for which you need to add the value of 0MATERIAL). That process is (in my opinion) a whole lot more complicated than a new init/complete reload, but it could be possible...

Re: Enhancing 0PM_C01 infocube.

Thank you very much for your help, Ralf.

Well, I had not though about full repair requests, but it could be a good strategy, thanks!

I’ve used it once to repair a missing delta, but I’ve never used it to enhance a cube. I suppose it will be necessary to do selective deletions in order to avoid duplicates…I must be careful, for sure. Going to test it first in development environment.

Best Regards!

SAP IS-U Specific BW Extractors Documentation

Hello everyone,

I`m looking for some documentation about BW specific extractor on IS-U.

My attempts to find such at SAP web site failed.

Can anyone help me with link or some advice on that topic?

The configuration of ECC and BW is as follows:

The ECC is 6 with EHP 7 - NETWEAVER 7.4

The BW is 7.5 SP 1 - NETWEAVER 7.5

Re: SAP IS-U Specific BW Extractors Documentation

Re: SAP IS-U Specific BW Extractors Documentation

Thank you for your answer Tom.

I already look at that section of the site, but cant find at it any documentation about the Extractors.

There are a lot of other BW objects described at that section, but nothing about Extractors.
For example at the General partition there are:

Utilities: General

  • Single Roles
  • Variables
  • Structures
  • InfoSources
  • Key Figures
  • Characteristics
  • Process Chains
  • Queries for Analytical Applications

Re: SAP IS-U Specific BW Extractors Documentation

yeah, SAP is pretty terrible at having a consistent and unifrom documentation at the help-page. For some sub-parts there is a section about DataSources (eg Sales Statistics), but indeed not for all.

I often go the other way around: browse through RSA5 or the ROOSOURCE table (start with 0UC*) in ISU, and then do a google search with the DataSource name that i want to know more of. Add "site:help.sap.com" to your search string if you only want the sap help pages)

Re: No fields mapping in transfer rule of hierarchy

Hi Rita,

Did I understand correctly that you recently had a system copy (i.e. a refresh from the Q ECC and/or BW system) and that the extraction worked correctly before the system copy?

Best regards,

Sander

Extractions for multiple development systems

Scenario:

In our SAP system landscape, we have a total of 3 ECC client systems (1 DEV(100) + 1 Client copy(120) + 1 QUA(200))

We have made LO workbench changes & LO Customization changes in DEV 100 client and have tried pushing the changes to 120 Client using T-code SCC1

We are using T-code SCC1 to transport customizations to client 120 to be tested again and put on transports eventually to QUA.

Once the changes are done we have to schedule the job from LBWE job control

Problem:

I have transported the customization changes from 100 to 120 (SCC1)

I have performed LO steps of deleting and filling the set-up tables,

when I am checking the delta queue (RSA7) in 100 client it is showing me the data sources in the delta queue.

But when I check them in 120 it is displaying zero records.

Question:

1.Do I push the changes from DEV 100 to QUA 200 first for the system to reflect the changes in 120.

What is the right way to push these changes and schedule the job from LBWE?

2. I have followed the the steps For LO in ECC Dev like

a) RSA5 - activate the source

b) LBWE - Make data source Inactive

c) LBWG - Delete Set-up tables

d) LBWE - activate the source

e) SBIW - Filling the set up Tables

f) RSA3 - Check for records

g) RSDS - Replicate data source

h) RSA1- create full and Delta initialization Info package and execute them. Then create the Delta Info package.

we have checked for RSA7 for delta queue for that data source.

Do I need to perform LO extraction steps on ECC QUA system and run the Full, initial and delta loads in BW QUA as well ?

Please help me in clarifying these issues.

Regards,

Balasubramanian.

Re: Extractions for multiple development systems

Hi,

you have one dev system with two clients and one qa system? or one dev system with 3 clients?

where did you delete and fill setup tables? in client 100 or 120?

Hierarchy Node values as columns

Hi Experts,

I have a CRM Categorization Hierarchy when displayed in report it is displaying as

Level1

         Level2

                  Level3

                          Level4

in the report which the data is accurate.

Now the user has a peculiar requirement wherein he wants the data(text descriptions) to be displayed as

Level1  Level2  Level3  Level4  in side by side columns.

I had used the following data source: 0CRM_CATEGORIZATION_HIER

Has anyone came across such a requirement, Need Inputs from your end to overcome this issue.

Regards,

E C.

Re: Hierarchy Node values as columns

Hi,

Try to drag that characteristic into columns above the structure of key figure in Query Designer.

Thanks,

Re: Hierarchy Node values as columns

Hi Bhavin,

I tried like what you said, but it is not catering the report requirements and moreover it is changing the complete layout of the report
