I wouldn't search where the hierarchy is used. You can create your own querry to check the changes.
The simplest way to check if a hierarchy is updated is to contact with a person who updates it on ECC side and ask what was changed most recently. I you see the same changes on BW side you are sure updating is working all right.
Your hierarchy is updated manually or in process chains ?

Your report is balance sheet P/L report.
Go to your Tx -S_ALR_87012284 At ecc side, menu system-->status-->program. Double click on it or copy program name and open thru SE38. in program code you may see the base tables.
Coming to bw side, Data source 0FI_GL_6.

Above two data sources pulls data from same table(GLT0). You already checked data thru 0fi_gl_1 which is not fulfilled your needs. so check 0fi_gl_6 and check the data extraction at RSA3.
that may give some idea about required fields/data.
Even there is a best pdf with explanation about balance sheet p& l report.
find it from Google and explore it.

Reports of that kind (financial statement) should be created on 0figl_v10 (or sth like this).
Be aware that time restricting is abit different than in standard infocubes. You should rather point at one fiscal period than restrict to range of values.

We already know that the bi content have a lot of cubes, dso, reports, etc.
that we can use in the diferents use cases that we need in a standard way.
But, what use cases are not available in BI Content that are very important in a company?

Please check whether you are going to use the base table as GLT0 or FAGLFLEXA. If you are using the new GL in your ECC you should be using FAGLFLEXA should be base table. In that case 0FI_GL_10 will give you the desired result.
Now if your base table is GLT0 the 0FI_GL_1 should give you the correct value. Please check GL wise where the inconsistency is. you may also check 0FI_GL_4 which will give you document wise data which will be easy for reconciliation

SAP R/3 report for Financial Profitability Statements can be Prepared on Virtual Info cube inside BW system.this report is giving you information about total income ,total expenditure, total profit/loss,investment,sales incomes etc...
BW Objects:
The cube name -
0FIGL_V10 : Virtual info cube- G/L (New): Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss
To get the data in virtual info cube you have to activate and load another
info cube :
0FIGL_C10 - General Ledger (New): Transaction Figures
Data source Name: 0FI_GL_10- General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances.
ECC:
you can use the T-Code as you mentioned or Also you can use - F.01 to see the finance statements./Also OB58.
Reporting periods - you can select from 1 to 12 or 1 to 16. Because 4 special periods are there in one assessment Year. Also you have to fill financial statement version compulsorily.

Early Watch report as name suggests is performance Summary report for system.
It is auto generated report via solution Manager which collects Data from system thus generating the report.
It covers CPU/ memory/Disk Utilization/Database growth/system performance/critical errors/dumps etc.
For functional team it shows which reports are taking more time and shows the queries causing it.
From BW stand point it shows lot of data related to cubes, info providers, Queried and what can be done to improve the overall performance in general.

Question on the Production Planning LO Extractors 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL & 2LIS_04_P_MATNR.
Years ago, we filled the setup tables on these for our 6 plants and filled them by plant.
We are in the planning stage to bring on a new plant so I feel I need to run the programs
to fill the setup tables for the new plant. I am thinking:
1. Delete setup tables for application 04
2. Fill setup tables for new plant for both extractors (RMCFNEUD & RMCFNEUA)
I am hoping after I fill the setup tables with the new plant, and start the LIS-BW_VB_APPLICATION_04_200 job on
ECC, the data for the new plant will start flowing through into BW and there will be no need to re INIT the data load
(which would be a nightmare) and both the new plant and existing plants would load.

I am trying to activate a process chain from BI content . My source system is ERP 6.0. While collecting objects for activating this Process Chain BW gives an errors. It says some of DTP and Transformations are missing. I have put two of the errors are at below.
When i search these missing objects on the BI content these objects are not exist. Also on the BW system they are not exist. I could not find any solution for this problem.
Can you please show me a way for solving this. I am stuck on this.

The appropriate DataSource depends on whether you are using Classic G/L or New G/L.
Classic G/L:
I suggest to use DataSource 0FI_GL_6 (which replaces 0FI_GL_1 and is delta-enabled). The base table is GLT0.
New G/L:
I suggest to use DataSource 0FI_GL_10. The base table is FAGLFLEXT.

Yes, inventory data sources and InfoCube 0IC_C03 are in use at production.
One question: Can I add field MSEG-INSMK through append structure
to data source 2LIS_03_BF (and extend the routine in Include ZXRSAU01) WITHOUT refill setup tables and INIT Load into BW.
So in this case, the new field MSEG-INSMK will be filled for new delta records. Is it correct?

Yes, without reinit, Your delta load will bring the data for INSMK now onwards.
if You need historic data for INSMK then only we need to delete and refill setup tables(BF Data source) from scratch.
