Are you trying to add multi-value chars? I believe it is not allowed in CTBW.
Please refer SAP KBA 350296, 535370.
Also try to regenerate the data source once.

Hi, I am only adding a new characteristic. I have tested the new characteristic datasource that I added and it works as expected and have been able to load data to BW. I am unable to regenerate the transactional 1CL_OLIS00 Data source because of the Error message "Extraction structure ZORD* could not be generated" Just wondering if I need to manually update the extract structure. I am unable to create a new component because I have no clue how they were made. couldn't find them in Data type in SE11. - Bhat

This field is dynamically calculated in data source. refer help page from sap as below,
You can write a logic in BW on top of your Z Datasource to look up this field from DSO of 2LIS_11_V_SSL.

Creating a generic Datasource on table /FRE/TSKPRM whith delta in Forecast & Replenishment
Hello Gurus,
i have a requirement to create a generic extractor on /FRE/TSKPRM. I would like either to use a pointer for delta or use a FM.
My concern is that i can not find a field which can help to handel delta.
Even if the field is from another table we can then join those tables.
Since we are extracting data on a daily basis, i would like to tract changes.
Could you please help on that?

Setup tables are filled but not updated
if it needs to update, when do need to update?
When you have a data mismatch between ECC (source) and BW , which might be due to a missed delta load (or) any unexpected DB crash (which is very rare) where you lost one or two days data.
In both cases, you will delete the already filled (old ) setup tables and refill them again with specific range then do a full repair request (from info package ). this make sure delta pointer wont get affected .

Do you have either of the below in the tables you want to build Generic Extractor,
- Calday
- TimeStamp
- Numeric Pointer (this depends,say Document Number)
And how many records are you loading from the table and how frequent are the changes or number of records generated...In case Delta is not possible..then you can think of FULL Load.. provided the number of Records are less..

Set Up Table are mostly ONE time activity in Following Cases,
- When we want to load Historical Data
- When we have missed some Deltas
- When we do selective load based on requirement
- Set Up Data loads are full Loads.

0PROFIT_CTR hierarchy load "Missing Messages"
Hi Experts,
I am trying to load Hierarchy data for 0PROFIT_CTR to Bw.
In the monitoring(left hand side) QM status is green saying that the load is successfull and on the right hand side QMStatus is also Green.
But in the Details Tab(right hand side) the overall Status is red and it's giving a warning message for overall status "Errors occured: or: Missing messages".
*Requests (messages): Everything OK
Data request arranged
Confirmed with: OK
*Extraction (messages): Everything OK
Data request received
Data selection scheduled
444 Records sent ( 444 Records received )
Data selection ended
*Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages(QMStatus is red)
*Processing (data packet): Everything OK
*Data Package 1 ( Records ) : Everything OK
*Transfer rules ( 444 Records ) : No errors
*Hierarchies for master data received. Processing being started.
*Transfer 444 data records in communication structure
*Update ( 0 new / 0 changed ) : No errors
*Data saved successfully
*Processing end : No errors
*Data successfully transferred to the update
What does this mean?? Why? This is still running on 3.5, would it help to upgrade to a 7x transformation?

Hi Sofie,
Looks like idocs are not transferred to BW from ECC (source system).
In the infopacakge monitor screen-->environment -->transact RFC-->in source system-->enter you source system credentials-->then choose the appropriate date (Display period) on when this hierarchy error-ed out.
if you see any idocs.. execute them (F6), once idocs are cleared, come back to infopackage and refresh the monitor.

Short dump error during data extraction in ECC for classification datasource - CONVT_TO_NUMBER
Hi,
I am getting short dump error when running extraction checker with RSA3 .
I found below SAP NOTE with correction but it is no longer valid in our system as we are on a much higher support level.
Does any know how I can resolve the issue or know of any recent sap note.

The short dump shows some information about a value 'SP' cannot be interpreted as number which seems to be reasonable.
Would you be able to check the underlying tables for this datasource to see if any issue with the data.
Could you also please check and post the how to correct the error part and information on where the error occurred from your dump analysis page?
If possible, restrict the extract checker by giving some small selection and see if it works, just to narrow down the reason.

There are no iDocs displayed...
I tried to merge the existing 3.5 hierarchy dataflow for 0PROFIT_CTR to 7x, but now I receive another error message:
Message no. RH211
...
The nodes NODEID = 7, 00000006 have the same node names NODENAME = . This is not allowed because both nodes are leaves and are child nodes of the same parent node NODEID = 00000003.
Note that a maximum of 50 characters is available for message variables. The node name NODENAME = might not be displayed in its full length.
....
The same message several times, refering to different nodeid and always nodename = .
I check the PSA and nodename is always present and never with the same value twice.
