1. as my guess it may create problem. so better to clear all of your delta queues and load records into bw side and lock ecc system, later do the Unicode upgrade.

2. if follow 1point then reinit will work for you. if client won't accept to lock ecc then need to find the delta records and load them into bw thru repair full request

3 Please check with abap or bw functional help

4.yes, better to test each and every delta loads only. do the all tests at dev system.
