You can make this as described in note 300300:

- define the system-/user-status in source system, transcation bwst. The BW status objects are called ntf... by default

- generate the DataSource for MasterData of InfoObjects 0STATUSNTX.._TEXT

- add the Fields BWSTNTF.. to DataSource 0NOTIFCATN_ATTR (this DataSource is part of the 'Quality Management' Application Component but seems to deliver service notification MasterData as well)

- check the extended DataSource (rsa3)  and replicate it to BW

So generally you add the status to the master data (InfoObject) and not transaction data.
