Now coming to basics again.
When does the dimenstion Id's get created? SID's get created when loading the master data. I still have a doubt how can dim table be bigger than fact table.
I was checking one of the dimension table which is 300% to fact table.
My analysis
1. Executed the dimension table entires. Selected on sid of material (say 1234).
2. Executed the same dimension table with material sid (1234).
3. total number of entries are 135.
4. I copied all the dimension Id's.
5. Pasted all the dimesnion id on the fact table and executed. I was expecting atleast 135 entries in the fact table but there are only 11 entries for the material. Now I am totally confused. How come dimension table has got 135 entries for the material compared to 9 entries in fact table.
Now Can you please let me know when dimenstion entries gets created? If dimension ids get created while loading the transaction data, then dimension tables should have same number of entries as fact table.
