Seems like you applied the note at dev.
if yes then please do test at rsa3 and check the data for object_type = BUS2000125.
if every thing workings as you need then its fine to go ahead.
About SAP notes you need to worry. they are always have the perfect solution.
at final solution already you aware of it as generic data source.
